style tips: the coolest spring/summer wardrobe staple

If it's almost July and you haven't got yourself this clothing item, now it's your time!

Why so dramatic, you ask? Well, it's June sales time and it's the perfect timing to invest in one key piece for your spring/summer wardrobe that will be worn for many seasons to come. Please, do yourself a favor and go buy a trench coat. It is such a versatile piece and absolutely perfect for most of spring and chillier summer days and evenings when you want something to cover up, but a wool coat seems too warm of an option.

When it comes to choosing one, there are many options in terms of material and colours. You can find a very lightweight one (like the one that I'm wearing) or more structured ones like the iconic Burberry versions. In all honesty, I think it's better to go for a more structured one as it will really keep you warmer during windy days and also during rain. However, I have both versions right now, but only because I found this one in a second hand shop for 9 euros, so I thought I'd treat myself.
My top tip - go vintage shopping for these babies if you can because if you're lucky, you can find yourself a Burberry one and price will be delightful. However, most high street shops also stock them and they will all be reduced in June sales, so hurry up & go to places like H&M, COS, &Other Stories, Zara and Mango to find yourself a big wardrobe staple!

My outfit was quite simple I'd say, but it is this stuff that I feel most confident in - a good pair of jeans, a comfortable long sleeved top, my new favourite summer bag and a pair of slides. I absolutely love neutral tones and whenever I wear them, I feel the most comfortable and most myself. I think it is important to bear those things in mind and not get caught up in a world of colours during summer time if it's really not your thing. Every magazine is screaming 'colours for summer', but if it's not your cup of tea, that's completely fine. Stick to your gut and I'm sure you'll feel amazing!
