protect your skin with Eucerin this summer

Facial and body sunscreen – Eucerin

Summer is a dangerous time when it comes to being outside so much and, of course, the never ending lust for tanned skin. It makes me very worried and even sick sometimes when I see people lying on the beach for hours without any sunscreen on when in most cases they are already super tanned. I believe in SPF for both face and body and I would rather walk with my legs looking very pale rather than aging sooner that I would want to.

Please don‘t try to tell me off by saying that sun provides vitamin D and we need that. I agree 100% and we get that vitamin D as there isn‘t a suncreen that we can buy, which would protect you from the sun completely. Bear in mind that SPF 15 product blocks about 94% of UVB rays, an SPF 30 product blocks 97% of UVB rays; and an SPF 45 product blocks about 98% of rays (took this info from Tamira Jarrel‘s blog, she wrote an amazing post about sunscreen!). Therefore, you do get some sunhine to your skin either you want it or not, and I believe that it is enough. As I mentioned before, I don‘t want to get wrinkles as late as possible, I don‘t want skin cancer and I don‘t want any sun burns or more visible hyperpigmentation (yes, sun influences that and makes them appear darker). If you want the same things for your skin, I have two products to tell you about that will be helping me to get through this summer.

First of all, face SPF! I have tried quite a lot of them and it always such a pain to find the next best one as most of them are thick, sticky, leave white cast on the skin + clog your pores. So glad to tell you that facial SPF from Eucerin does neither of those things to your skin. It has a very light texture, you have to shake it up before using, which is very satisfying (for me at least). This particular formula is for oily to normal skin, which I wouldn‘t say that mine is, however, it is so much better for me to use a lighter sunscreen rather than something that is heavy as I still use another moisturizer afterwards. Second product that I tried was the lotion for the body. I typically prefer spray sunscreens for the body, but this one surprised me with its texture as it is very light and sinks in very quickly. Honestly, I don‘t have much to say about it because I don‘t have a lot of requirements for the body SPF. As long as it protects my skin from sun damage (which it does) and it light and easy to apply it is going to live in my beach bag.

Lastly, as an added bonus to these particular sunscreens I can tell you that it not only protects your skin from UVA/UVB rays but also neutralizes free radicals, protects the DNA of your skin, and possesses particularly powerful antioxidant to take care of your skin as best as possible in the very harmful sunshine during the summer.

Gema.
