ootd: mados infekcija 2016
bodysuit - Body Talk | shoes - Deichmann | pants - Mango | blazer - Zara
Hello there, my readers,
today I'm excited to share with you my outfit for "Mados Infekcija", which is one of the most important weekends every spring for Lithuanian fashion designers, country's press, bloggers and basically anyone who loves fashion.
This year I was lucky enough to get an invitation to this event and took the plunge to go. First, quickly about my outfit - I decided to wear something very light, airy and spring like because I literally cannot wait for it to come to Lithuania. What an irony that my white outfit actually went a long very well colour wise with loads of snow, which decided to heavily hit Vilnius that evening. Despite the awful weather, I still went for this white suit that I haven't worn in ages, my new Bodytalk bodysuit from an exclusive collection for Aprangos Galerija and my some grey oxford style shoes. Maybe it wasn't the biggest fashion statement there, but I felt very comfortable in such effortless and minimal outfit.
Anyway, back to the business - the event itself. The venue was as always the Comtemporary Arts Centre (SMC) and the runway itself was ask always very interesting - I loved the mountain like installations in the middle of it. I only went to see the collection that were presented on the second day and my favourite ones include Akvilė Jančauskaitė & Fiona Uyen collection called "Swimful" - very wearable pieces, loved the colour scheme (I'm forever in love with blue tones) and most of them looked extremely comfortable without being boring. What's not to love?
I also really enjoyed all the shows dedicated to menswear - Liucija Kvašytė's punk inspired collection was something out of this world crazy and cool, I bet everyone will be talking about it this season, but my personal favourite was definitely "Vi" by Mantas Bartkus and Neringa Martinėnaitė. They showcased a modern man who is not afraid to be stylish and 'out there' with this outfits. I actually would wear some of those jackets as well! You can check out pictures of the collection here.
All in all, I really enjoyed this event and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
